This is expected. In all cases (expect for keast 13-20 iirc) the references for all neurons are attached at the level of the whole model. There is perhaps some confusion in how references are handled with regards to whether global references are actually applied downward to all individual parts. Something we may need to review.

Currently it is safe to show references attached only to the model as a whole on each of the individual neuron populations.
