Merges master branch with Neuview version of codeathon #288

@SimaoBolota-MetaCell seeing some "image mismatch" type of errors, this is probably related to the neurovew changes in the layout rendering. Would you check this branch and see if we need to update the source images we are comparing or if it's good to go by now and the will synced up on next PR?

@enicolasgomez I just re-ran the tests locally and they both passed

I was trying to re-run the tests workflow on the PR but don't know why the options to re-run the jobs do not appear to me Can you re-run them from the PR in github actions?
