[Tool] Feedin tariff must be defined for a production component #21

Open FredericHirschmueller opened 2 years ago

FredericHirschmueller commented 2 years ago

Currently the feedin tariff is defined for an energy provider. However, the feedin tariff varies for several production technologies. Hence, the feedin tariff muste be defined for different prouction asset individually.

@smartie2076 - do you think it could fit with MVS innerwork?

smartie2076 commented 2 years ago

You mean, you have a feedin tariff in general for possible fossil-fuelled electricity (CHP), and then another (higher) tariff for renewable power, eg. solar? We also have that issue in one of our E-LAND project sites.

There are two solutions: Our solution is to Use seperate busses (no flow from general electricity bus!) for the production types and connect them to a energy provider asset each.

We first thought of setting a marginal feed-in tariff in the energy provider asset (0.000001), place the production technologies on different busses (no flow from general electricity bus!) and then connect that bus with the energy provider bus, with a negative dispatch price on that transformer (see below), but then it would be possible for electricity going though that virtual transformer to be fed back to the general electricity bus, which is not desirable.

So... this does already somewhat work, but is not very beautiful. I guess you could also simply add a new feature to the GUI for this? Not sure how it can be improved in the MVS.

@FredericHirschmueller @Bachibouzouk please remember to always put @ciaradunks in CC from now on, as I am not leading the E-LAND project and, ergo, MVS development anymore starting this year.

https://github.com/rl-institut/multi-vector-simulator/pull/932 Is related to this issue. The PR is on its way https://github.com/rl-institut/multi-vector-simulator/pull/932. Make sure to update your branches.

@FredericHirschmueller oder @c-moeller - I will use Max Bögl scenario 1 first then scenario 4, I just need values for feedin tariffs and to know what you expect to see in the results
