Is this necessary? The brew step is taking a really long time (11 minutes).

The solution in liboqs was to not do a brew update: HOMEBREW_NO_AUTO_UPDATE=1 brew install ...

Much faster, agreed. So, removed the complete brew update as in liboqs. Same in liboqs-cpp. Please correct if NOK.
