  • Moderator: Chris Xie, Chair of the ORES Working Group, LF Energy

• [x] The Panelist will review and work on the panel presentation slides, and the talking points google doc

• [x] Update from Karl Yang on current status of ORES hardware implementation and development, and the demo preparation for LF Energy Summit 2024

Meeting Minutes/Key Points

• Connect with LF Energy Smart Meter project to cross collaborate
• Continue to do out-reach, and to focus on spreading the value proportions of ORES while making an effort to expand ORES ecosystem and participation
• Youtube channel on ORES: put the ORES demo on Youtube Channel
• Make sure the QR code is effective during the Summit
• Karl will bring a hardware box to the Summit for demo, and will provide a remote login and a youtube video on the real ORES working system

Action Items:

• [x] Finding a female speaker to participate in Panel discussion on ORES (Vivien, Barry et al)
• [ ] Luiz Villa to submit a talk related to hardware and software that integrate with ORES. Deadline for CFP is May 19th.
• [ ] Luiz to set up cross reference: https://github.com/owntech-foundation (Luiz) with ORES github repo, create a file called "owntech.md" under https://github.com/open-renewable-energy-systems/ores/tree/Dev/Reference_Implementation and also create an ORES link in https://github.com/owntech-foundation to achieve the cross reference.
• [x] Chris will email Dan on funding for female panelist, and submission of talks/panel
• [x] Chris will submit CFP's for the talk and the panel discussion on ORES
• [x] Chris and Karl will submit for the ORES demo station
• [x] Chris will email to ORES mailing list to see if the current meeting time is ok with the community, or if there is other meeting time suggestions, along with the meeting minutes.
• [x] Holger Blasum to write up an indexing of open source software on energy mgmt systems, maybe under the resources section of the ORES repo. So Holger may want to create a "Resources" directory under https://github.com/open-renewable-energy-systems/ores/tree/Dev and under the "Resources" folder, create a md file for the indexing of open source softare on energy mgmt systems.
