Specifying a license for research software - team The Leftovers 2.0 #12

Hi @open-sci/the-leftovers-2-0,

As anticipated in yesterday's lecture (practical part), I have created a new repository where you can put the code you will develop for the project. Please, add there only the material relevant for the code, while all the rest should be included in our main repository as we have done so far.

You also have, as the first action item related to this new repository, to specify the open source licence associated with your code repository, by creating a file LICENSE in the root of your code repository. The file should contain the entire content of the license terms – that you can take from either the website of the Open Source Initiative or the website of the GNU project. To see an example, please refer to the RAMOSE repository.
