Truly Social travel app

I was thinking of having an open source travel app which is truly social in nature. Social here means that the app should instantaneously provides updates regarding the events, best spots to see within X mile radius. These updates will be posted by people periodically and over time the experience will converge to the best possible tourist guide that you can get at any place on the planet :). Want this to become the GoTo app for all travellers world-wide!

Relevant Technology

• Frontend : Mobile only (Android / IOS)
• Backend : Not sure what would be the best framework/DB combination ( TBD )

Complexity and required time

Everyone who wants to create a cool app should be welcome. Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced. Doesn't matter!

Sorry everyone for a late reply .. I am kept busy with my work lately and hence could not reply here. I would like any one of you guys to start a github repo on this as I dont have enough time to contribute to this currently. However, the vision was to always make an app where it can act as a completely independent travel guide. We can shape it however we want but I want someone to try and come up with an Initial design to get things going. If interested, we can connect over IM or even a quick call. Thanks 👍

Hi there, I usually do A LOT of C++ but this sounds like a chance to mix things up😊 I Have experience with backend frameworks such as flask and I do know a bit of flutter which is great for the frontend. Any updates on this project? I'd really like to contribute!
