What is the question?

Altough linking to https://github.com/open-telemetry/opentelemetry-specification/blob/main/specification/protocol/exporter.md, OtlpExportProtocol misses http/json.

Is http/json exporting to be expected?

Yes, but no timeline. It is a MAY from the spec.
