[x] This only affects the JavaScript OpenTelemetry library
[ ] This may affect other libraries, but I would like to get opinions here first

We might want to enable https://docs.renovatebot.com/configuration-options/#automergetype if we are approving based on test passing. Thoughts?

In the future maybe, but it fails the old cla check so it wouldn't auto merge right now anyways.

Think we should keep this discussion open as the old cla check will go away eventually and the question is still valid
