End-users of the AutomatedLinkAcceptance interface in LinkVis requested addition of BER (Bit Error Rate) to the acceptance data that is provided by ALAP.
BER is not provided as an attribute in ONF TR-532.
To be done:
Investigate whether it would make sense to have BER included in the model
Investigate which alternative error performance parameters are present in the model, their meaning and relevance as well as their availability for the different device types
Outcome of a short exchange and discussion with Sven A. :
The error performance parameters avaible in the model ( es, ses, unavailabily, etc) are enough; those are in fact the ones who are currently used for performance evaluation.
For now, they do not need to be included in the set of data offered for link-acceptance. They will just provided when performance data is requested. Inclusion of performace measurements for acceptance in the future can be considered and discussed with the team.
