The currently planned link related switching operation (RedundantTransmittersOff) will switch the transmitters of one link off for saving power, if there is a parallel link that is properly operating.

Also it must be ensured that if a link is turned off, it can be turned on from remote, and not only on site.

Normal case: During the power saving mode, management connection to the remote site of the link will be transported through the remaining parallel link.

In case of failure of the parallel link: Pranay will clarify with the vendors whether the receiver at the remote site is still operational during the power saving mode, and whether management connection could be re-established by turning on the transmitter at the local site.
Otherwise there would be no chance for turning the power saving link on again from remote.
