7 months ago Decision during the LF ONMI x-haul call on 24th of April 2024: The temperature may not be supported as a concept by the vendor or not be available due to unavailability on the device. A default value shall be defined to harmonize the handling of such situations across implementations.

Even after a possible restructuring of Chapter 9 of the TransmitterEquipment Specification, the attribute shall be described as follows:
- PhysicalProperties :: temperature : String = ""

Both entries for the temperature in both tables in §31 of chapter 9 of the TransmitterEquipment Spec. shall be complemented with the following statement 'If the temperature would not be available at the device, an empty string shall be represented as a default value.'
No default value defined in the ONF CoreIM.
The temperature of the physical components would be of interest, e.g. to monitor the conditions on site.
A default value should be defined for being represented, if the hardware would not provide a temperature value for the associated component.
Potential Proposal: The two entries for the temperature in the two tables in §31 of chapter 9 of the TransmitterEquipment Spec. shall be complemented with the following statement "Only if the device would not provide the required information, "Temperature not yet provided." shall be represented as a default."
