Supported LLDP Agents

Problem: Version 2 (defined in IEEE Std 802.1AB™-2009) of the LLDP specification describes several types of LLDP agents.
An implementation of Version 2 might support just a subset of these agents.
The kind of agent has to be provided as an input parameter to the create operation.
Informing about the available kinds of agents in a capability attribute would support properly calling the RPC.

Proposal to the LF ONMI x-haul call on 11th of December 2024:

The following enumeration (that shall translate into identityref in YANG) shall be added:

• An AgentKindType enumeration shall be added
  • It shall hold the following comment "Kinds of LLDP agents."
  • It shall comprise the following values:
  • NEAREST_BRIDGE_01-80-C2-00-00-0E
  • NEAREST_NON_TPMR_BRIDGE_01-80-C2-00-00-03
  • NEAREST_CUSTOMER_BRIDGE_01-80-C2-00-00-00
  • NOT_YET_DEFINED

The following attribute shall be added:

• LocalSystemData::supportedKindsOfLldpAgentList : AgentKindType [*] = [NOT_YET_DEFINED] with comment "List of kinds of LLDP agent that are supported at the Ports of the device."

The following composed datatype shall be added:

• An AgentKindType datatype shall be added
  • It shall hold the following comment "Kinds of LLDP agents."
  • It shall comprise the following attributes:
  • AgentKindType::agentName : AgentNameType [1] attribute with the comment "Name of the kind of LLDP agent."
  • AgentKindType::agentMacAddress : AgentMacAddressType [1] attribute with the comment "MAC address applied by this kind of LLDP agent."

The following attribute shall be added:

• LocalSystemData::supportedKindsOfLldpAgentList : AgentKindType [*] with comment "List of kinds of LLDP agent that are supported at the Ports of the device."
