The Movement Authority (MA) gives the train the distance that is allowed to travel. This distance starts at a certain location (balise group) and end at the LoA/EoA location. The distance is build out of one or more section. Each section has a length and optional a timer. With the timer it is possible to shorten the MA due time.
A The MA is sent from trackside to the train via balises in Level 1 or in Level 2/3 via radio after the train ask the RBC for a MA.
The MA analysis results in 3 function:
• Storing “Parameters defining the conditions for requesting an MA”
• Requesting for a MA
• Storing a received MA, update MA for a distance driven/time elapsed
The request is part of Group 3 output and located here:
