Dear Klaus, dear all
The Review process described in the document includes the key aspects of the 'Eclipse Development process'. In the 'Review Process overview' section of the document you can find two types of reviews:
The Review types identified in the Eclipse development process (Creation Review, Graduation Review, Release Review...) belong to the 'Planned Review Process'.
As specified in the document there shall be well identified review objectives and/or guidelines to be followed.
In the next version of the document we shall provide more details as guidelines with regard to the specific review types of Eclipse process.
Best regards Ainhoa
@agracia Dear Ainhoa, can you refer to the version of the QA-plan which solves the issue, please?
I have just updated the Revision and Review processes to include the corresponding Figures and Tables indexes.
The section 3.3 covers the planned reviews and I have just included a reference to the Planned Reviews template you can find in https://github.com/openETCS/governance/tree/master/Templates.
Due to these have been minor changes because the explanation of the different planned reviews have been provided before, the same numbering has been maintained, so you can find the document in the master tree as: governance/Review Process/OpenETCS_RevisionProcess_0.2.1
As initially discussed, this openETCS Project should be based on a process and life cycle that is as close as possible to the eclipse process, as defined by the Eclipse Foundation AND see [Eclipse Life Cycle](http://www.eclipse.org/projects/dev_process/development_process_2011.php#6_2_Project_Lifecycle „Look at life cycle sketch”). However, since we want to meet CENELEC EN50128 requirements, we have to add certain issues in order to be sure that our approach and future results of the project can be approved by safety authorities, e.g. the formal specification for later use in vital onboard unit implementations. The reason for keeping the processes as close as possible with eclipse is, that the project either might later apply for becoming an Eclipse Top Level Project or might get converted into an Eclipse Industrial Working Group. In addition, we know that eclipse projects are running quite successfully, which is possible due to efficient and smoothly working processes. Suggestion: We should go with what we have for a first release, but for a second release the adaptation to eclipse should be implemented.
