As I was wrapping up the review of D7.2, it was obvious that the contributors often forgot to maintain the "Document Evolution" section of the document. I completed the section by using "git log" on the document's .tex files.
Therefore the question/suggestion: Why not use the git log right away? If people write good commit comments, this is much more complete and reliable than a manually maintained document section.
Hello,
As I was wrapping up the review of D7.2, it was obvious that the contributors often forgot to maintain the "Document Evolution" section of the document. I completed the section by using "git log" on the document's .tex files.
Therefore the question/suggestion: Why not use the git log right away? If people write good commit comments, this is much more complete and reliable than a manually maintained document section.
