Create RC_SCMP_0.0.1 branch #94

Can somebody please help me with creating a branch (RC_SCMP_0.0.1) for the revision process of the last SCMP version? I guess I am missing the user rights or am once again too stupid to figure out how this works in GitHub... I also tried to create the branch locally and get it into the original source per pull request, but GitHub says there is nothing to compare and hence no pull request to create...

Thank you!

Dear Peer, You are not a committer of openETCS/governance repository. I start a Committer vote for you. but you can

  1. clone the repository openETCS/governance add/modify .. fiels
  2. commit in the fork PeerJacobsen / governance
  3. and send a pull request

Thanks for getting the vote started. Am I actually a committer now? I don't see a difference and I still can't seem to create a branch in openETCS/governance. Creating a branch in PeerJacobsen/governance is possible, but I can't get it into openETCS/governance because GitHub says there is nothing to commit...

You first have to create the branch in the openETCS goverment repository. Than you can commit from your repository into the branch.

Okay, creating a brach is quite easy (if you know how). Using the browser you got to the repository and select the drop down menu, in which you can choose the displayed branch. (the menu is beneath the repository name, next to the green pull request icon. Her you can chose to create a new brach by giving a new name. (If already down this for RC_SCMP_0.0.1 to speed up the process)

Thank you for creating the branch for me! But the instructions you provided only work in my PeerJacoben/governance fork, not in openETCS/governance. That's why I'm wondering if I'm a committer or not. Does GitHub show this somewhere? I'm usually not this hopeless with new tools, but GitHub and I just don't seem to get along.

Actually your are not the only one who has problems with github in this way.

It sounds like you are not a full committer, so you should talk to Peter in persons to see, what's the problem.

I hope the pull request works now.
