Run at least one job successfully on Gordon. #46

Also be sure to update the README/documentation about how to do that for others. Place any problems you encounter as a comment to this ticket. Assigning to @emprice for now since she has already been working on updating the docs. This also relates to #43.

So far, I have been able to run the get_data and join_quarters steps on Gordon, but I cannot yet run the drive_bls_pulse step successfully.

I can now run all steps successfully on Gordon thanks to @zonca. One possible issue is that, if you lose network connection and get a "Broken pipe" error, you may not be able to find the job again; whether it still runs after that or not isn't clear. I'd recommend running in a screen environment if possible just so you don't have to deal with this.

Scratch that, Gordon doesn't have screen. For now, I guess just make sure you don't lose your network connection while running a job?

We have now run at least one star on gordon.
