I've decided to make this post to help the Radxa Community to enjoy openFyde to the fullest: https://forum.radxa.com/t/openfyde-rock-5b-the-best-options/15338
- To add to this my JBL 5 speaker stops working decent when I do add a Bluetooth controller (google stadia). (not anymore Fixed with the AX210 module on FydeOS for You!).
2 - Steam gaming with openFyde - Project Borealis - insert_coin let-me-play-you-foobar! - We (me) would love this!!
3 - Project ArcHero - ArcHero is Love ArcHero Works HURRAY we can have apk's installs working now!
4 - Android interface - I had a long time running options apk's apps and third party stores to be able to login into my account on those apps to understood that what was missing wasn't google store or google services all that works what android needs to do the connection is actually a browser and not many do the job, edge firefox, android version of chrome and many others unknown browsers don't really show interface as it all appears as transparent however I have found one called «Via Browser» this one is android and literally works with interface enough to turn it the android default browser and making longing into apps possible. I can now play Diablo Immortal, Hearthstone and many many others that require a third party browser to let login happen. I do understand that it is on openFyde plans to make gApps available and I am super thrilled to know that but I just wanted yous to know about these issues upfront.
https://viayoo.com/ - Fixed with FydeOS for You!
5 - Cloud Gaming in general and Chromium Browser issues
Cloud gaming is really important to me specially since that was the main reason why I decided to dive in on this single board computer adventure (just days before google decided to announce the death of Stadia.. -.-' ). Either way..
Geforce Now detects openFyde browser as a non-supported browser for use within their webapp so I can't have access to GFN which makes me sad.
It is however possible to install the oficial Chromium debian browser via Linux terminal but this browser doesn't comes with the Panfork Mali drivers to run or show any graphical advantage in other words... its broken.
User-agents (cheap work-around) works on openFyde oficial Chromium by changing network conditions to ChromeOS on developer tools option. Please make cloud gaming to work here.
Oficial FydeOS Chromium User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS aarch64 15183.90.16) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/108.0.0.0 Safari/537.36
Chrome Browser User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux aarch64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/110.0.0.0 Safari/537.36
On FydeOS for You! Changing user agents on network conditions doesn't work at all. Still an issue but nothing FydeOS can do its GFN blocking it Chromium browser... so best its best to use boosteroid or use LaCros Flags which bypasses this but runs into chrome://gpu HW acceleration misbehaviors.
1 - Bluetooth gamepad - I can't use my gamepad on openFyde or in any android app.
Update Edit: -My SN30 Pro+ arrived and via Bluetooth it detects and connects however it does not work (Tried Android mode, Windows Mode and Mac Mode).
Maybe this helps: https://developer.android.com/games/sdk/game-controller/controller https://chromestatus.com/feature/5118776383111168 https://github.com/topics/gamepad-api?l=javascript https://chromeos.dev/en/games/optimizing-games-inputs
If it requires Android Root... is there any way to do it? https://www.reddit.com/r/chromeos/comments/14bwi9r/tutorial_root_your_chromeos_android_subsystem/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=13&utm_content=1&rdt=61610
At last I have everything I wanted to say and provided as feedback to the openFyde team, Damenly you have been very cool about this and I understand the team is willing to accept to improve this technology and keep it updated I am an enthusiastic person and I am super hyped about this particular system of yours and I would love to see an on-going level of progression of this Operative System however all we can do is be patient and expect progress openFyde hasn't disappointed and Thank you's all for making this project real on Arm64!
