ActionBar obstructed by Status Bar in Kitkat API 19 #434

Summary:

Appbar is being obstructed by StatusBar.

Steps to reproduce:

Install the app on Kitkat device

Expected behavior:

ActionBar should be below the status bar.

Observed behavior:

Appbar is being obstructed by StatusBar.

Device and Android version:

Redmi Note 1S - Kitkat (4.4) MIUI 8 - API 19

Screenshots:
