Apache Hop(e) #59

A few months back (if not a year). We discussed about choosing a reporting tool. One that flows well with Apache Software Foundation's licensing.

And we concluded on staying with pentaho.

But today I just read about Apache hop

Is this something worth thinking about

hmmm, is this really a reporting replacement? Looks more like an ETL tool... will check in more detail...

@francisguchie I think @vidakovic is correct, from what I can tell after glancing over https://hop.apache.org/manual/latest/getting-started/hop-what-is-hop.html this is (yet another) "Big Data" thing, NOT a "visual (e.g. PDF) 'reporting' engine" type thing.

More from Bart there's hope, but won't be before the summer. The engine already is available though: https://github.com/projectlean/lean-engine
