Extension to projects - groupings across datasets #267

Open MaaikevS opened 3 years ago

Hi @olinux @lzehl,

I was wondering if it would be possible (in the future) to group datasets within a project according to particular features. For example, take the DOPAMAP project: image This project has 20 datasets (blue squares), including 5 different ages, 2 types of dopamine receptors and 2 genders.

In this particular case, it would be nice to be able to group the datasets according to age (by column), by gender or dopamine type (by row(s)).

Do you think something like this could be an interesting feature (as an extension for projects)?

@MaaikevS that is an interesting issue. You mean grouping of files for a project across dataset(version)s correct?

MaaikevS commented 3 years ago

Yes! Sorry that was indeed not very clear

@olinux from the openMINDS perspective I think this option would be very interesting. my idea: adding a property "dataOfInterest" (or something) which links to file path patterns. What do you think?

@HumanBrainProject/openminds-developers what are your thoughts?
