Yes, we did not define "median plane" as its own instance. If I remember correctly, we weren't sure if we should add it since it is just a special type of the longitudinal plane - the plane that is exactly in the middle of the two hemispheres. @lzehl shoudl we add it or wait until the use case comes up?
Indeed, it's a tricky one. Semantically speaking, "(the) median plane" and "(a) longitudinal plane" are of different types, since the latter is a family of planes.
@UlrikeS91 assumption is correct. we did not add it at the time because median plane is just a specific longitudinal plane. can be added potentially. let's discuss in the ontology meeting (because I agree with @apdavison about the semantic difference)
I also note that the definition of longitudinal plane mentions "median plane", but we do not define this as a term.
