Hi @pgrete @Yurlungur,

@pnorbert told me you are implementing openPMD for block-structured AMR in Parthenon? That's awesome!

Once you are ready to share, feel free to reach out :) I would also love to add you to the openPMD project catalogue in this repo :tada: (feel free to PR).

We'll definitely keep you in the loop. If you already have some comments (before we go down the wrong rabbit hole), feedback here https://github.com/openPMD/openPMD-api/issues/1588 would be great. Particularly, because there seems to be quite a difference between the AMReX interface @BenWibking wrote (https://github.com/quokka-astro/quokka/pull/466) with 250s LOC and the one @guj wrote (https://github.com/AMReX-Codes/amrex/pull/3666) with 3600 LOC.
