This comes from @hansjoachimknobloch patches in pull request #9. I've split out the Certificate authentication here.

Thanks for putting in the work! I didn't find the time to proceed myself as I unfortunately caught a Covid infection (feeling reasonably well, but testing, bureaucracy and quarantine costs time).

No problem! Get feeling better! I want to do some testing here before we merge this one, then we can work on the username/password auth.
