https://code.opensuse.org/leap/features/issue/68

There is a bug with logind/polkit: https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1170619

number of packages aren't built for Leap 15.4: https://build.opensuse.org/project/monitor/X11:Wayland?arch_x86_64=1&defaults=0&repo_15_4=1&unresolvable=1 https://build.opensuse.org/project/monitor/X11:Wayland?arch_x86_64=1&defaults=0&failed=1&repo_15_4=1

I have no idea what is going on with logind and polkit ... It is a little bit too much to dig into it. But looks like that is not sway issue.

You could workaround it with:

sudo chmod a+s /usr/bin/sway

More info here: https://github.com/swaywm/wlroots/issues/2236 https://bugs.gentoo.org/708680

I asked systemd experts to help here.

I also looked to the other packages under X11:Wayland that doesn't build.

waybar:

need to look into swayidle.

Hi @denisok, since OpenSUSE Leap will be discontinued after the 15.6 release in June 2024, I don't think this issue is very important anymore. If anything, keeping this issue open just adds unnecessary baggage
