Improve page load speed

I think we can do a couple of small things to make things faster.

we should optimize the uploaded logo. Currently on https://events.opensuse.org/ size of openSUSE Conference 16 and 13 logos are 470KB and 150KB respectively, given their required dimensions they shouldn't cost us more than 40KB combined.
Lazy loading of older Conference
Our application.js file is now 1.8MB. With addition of more feature, it will only keep growing. Here is a blog (and discussion in comments) about how we can load js files on demand and other tricks: ORGANIZING JAVASCRIPT IN RAILS APPLICATION WITH TURBOLINKS

EDIT:

Move application.js to bottom of page so that user doesn't see a blank page even when html and css has loaded.
