I want #74 to be merged in first so I can edit that doc with the notes you must now deploy via git push, cos "Using submodules for builds on Heroku is only supported for builds triggered with git pushes. Builds created with the API do not resolve submodules. This is also the case for GitHub sync." - https://devcenter.heroku.com/articles/git-submodules#git-submodules
