Listed in order of my impression of desirability of station information (in descending order) by station. Would love feedback if there is a different perception on which of these parameters are more important:
A classification of land usage around station (e.g. industrial, near roadway, etc.). This seems super useful to folks building models, comparing with satellite estimates, etc. In the most immediate future, the most expedient way I see of doing this is roughly, having folks input general classifications, like those listed on the WHO Annual Outdoor PM Database. Even though this is a rough method, it would also engage the general public and allow them to contribute. Are there other standard methods of classifying the area around a station we should be aware of?
Station ~Height~ Altitude. This seems reasonable - especially, since this information could be gathered by anyone, if they had the information of the station coordinates.
Inlet(s) height(s). While I know useful, this is likely going to be as readily available for the vast majority of stations. I would assume this parameter will likely sit empty in the system.
