add indi camera #322

Hello

Could you add indi cameras to the list of compatible devices ? It's a lot of work but it would be compatible with many cameras at once !

lately of great progress in term of speed were carried out on the indi drivers.

I did raise this in here: https://github.com/openastroproject/openastro/issues/286#issuecomment-401869629 I second this request, unless there's a reason for doing things this way that I don't see ?

Mostly I've not done it because it's a lot of work and there were other things I wanted to concentrate on. I have no idea what performance will be like either.

It may make sense to do it when I have made more progress with oalive.

However, if there are specific cameras that you would like to be available in oacapture that are not currently supported, please let me know and I'll give it further thought.

This is not to add a new camera but rather to take advantage of Indi's server mode allowing remote capture.

Indi's streaming performance has been greatly improved this year.

I second that. I ran some tests this week-end on the moon through indi/ekos/kstars, and it worked wonders. It's just that it's not really designed for live stuff and capture. oalive would do wonders :)

Not rushing you though. You do this on your free time, we're lucky to have that software in the first place!
