Focus Aid hangs system with write loop into memory #490

I am running Oacapture 1.7.0 on a Raspberry Pi 3B+ Debian 10 (Buster) with Altair Astro GP-Cam 224C3.

I am pretty much newbie to this so please bear with me.

All seems to work OK for hours on end unless I select the option, Focus Aid.

When Focus Aid kicks in it draws the coloured lines across the image but if I manually focus out. the system goes into a destructive SD card write loop. I am afraid I can not get any diagnostics because the system is locked into crash loop. I have tried this several times and every time I get the same destructive SD card write loop. I am very cautious about trying it any more because it appears to eat the SD cards.

That's very strange indeed. I've never heard of such a problem before. I'm not sure what could be causing it. I'll try some experiments to see if I can reproduce it.
