Scheduled Update, DLNA & Subtitles options #3180

Really Appreciate your efforts, I hope in future updates to see more option like.

  1. Option to minimize software update screen or make it as background service, reason : sometimes it takes long time or prevent users to follow the ongoing event during update process.

  2. Is it possible to add option to enable schedule update process with user set time, update during standby and or option to turn it ON / OFF, this option already available in many images long time ago, I think openatv needs it especially with short time frequent updates.

  3. I wish if i can watch my mobile videos or YouTube on my receiver by dlna OR Screen Mirroring or any easy way to simple users. My point is beside the great work to improve the system performance it will be great to add some feature to extend system ability.

  4. Is it possible to add option to load external subtitles stored on internal storage or hdd beside txt & dvb option provided by Sat channel, the idea to add option to press sub or txt button so user can see the following options

Or

Search through subssupport plugin if installed (as conditional feature).

Regards

  1. Continue the Update in Background is probably possible but this makes no sense in my mind.

  2. We plan a new feature to run background tasks. This can be one of the task types.

  3. You need a DLNA client .. Screen Mirror is probably not possible. Try Plugin DLNA Browser Plugin. This is probably old and needs to be updated.

  4. External subtitles are only working with playback of media files and not with live stream.

As users we share our thoughts as part of development cycle, I think the above mentioned ideas it make sense and easy to add if the developer decide to add it,

Some images include some feature but not performing well at all, why not to focus on it to improve and expand box usability.

  1. is too much effort and makes no sense
  2. can be a separate feature request or you change this.
  3. DLNA Browser is on the feed.
  4. There is no image/plugin with external subtitles support for live stream. You can use sub support to download external subtitles for media files and you can select external subtitles if they are exist for media files.
