I’d like to propose an enhancement that could significantly improve the user experience: the addition of a dedicated Samba settings screen within the Enigma2 interface. Specifically, I recommend including customizable settings for both the minimum and maximum Samba protocol versions.

Here are the key points I’d like to emphasize:

Customizable Samba Protocol Versions: The ability to set the minimum and maximum supported Samba protocol versions directly from the Enigma2 settings would be immensely valuable. Users could tailor these settings to match their specific network environment and security requirements.

Highest Supported Samba Protocol: Including information about the highest Samba protocol version currently supported by Enigma2 would empower users to make informed decisions. Knowing the upper limit ensures compatibility with other devices and servers on the network.

Read-Only and Read/Write Access: Additionally, consider allowing users to specify whether a share should be read-only or read/write. This flexibility would accommodate various use cases, from media streaming to file backups.
