CM 13 no Location Data #24

After installing this provider on CM13 I don't get any location anymore. (Using Online Data)

Mozilla NLP is running fine.

Here GPS Location says: Network not enabled.

same here under CM13. all other location providers work except this one. no location reported in both modes: online and offline.

EDIT: version is 0.2.3 (version code 15).

Do you use it with microG or?

yes, with microG, on a clean install of CM13. other providers work.

0.2.6 still has this bug. i hope to find time and provide logs soon, sorry.

i'm using ar.sqlite from radiocells.org as offline database. it could be outdated, but for it not to contain cell or wifi data in this dense area is strange. anything else i can provide?

Could you tell me how to get log from single app crashing?

Are you using logcat?

CM's privacy guard feature was disabled for the previous test, and location mode was set to cells+wifi. additionally, using privacy guard i can verify the app is initiating wifi scans. however, i see no mention of that in the logs.

one more log, this time selecting "wifis only". note the strange "Scanning wifis & cells" message, even though cells are supposedly disabled. cells seem to be actually disabled this time. still no wifi info.

aLogCat can filter, say by openbmap

and whether you are using adb or not, and if you are using logcat filtering, and from which OS you are connecting, etc etc. i used:

adb logcat | grep -i OpenbmapNlpService

That's a false positive: in fact cells are only used when activated. Changed the log message for the next release..

so whats up with my local database? i downloaded argentina and this area is densely populated. some wifis here are old as hell. can the db be so outdated to find zero of everything? or is it not loading at all? i see no message regarding the loading of the ar.sqlite db.

so the response is a 404... i do have adaway running on this phone. what does it smell like here?

Well, if you're concerned about exposing the cell id (which would be perfectly ok), we'll have to cleanup the logs above later. See the many reference to 722|... above.

Suggestion: let's clean that up, as soon as we've traced the issue down. If you like you could also send me the logs in private via mail to wish7code at gmail
