With external power, start a scan. Run it for 10-30 minutes. Stop the scan (hitting the floppy disk icon) and upload the sessions. (Autodelete is on, but I don't think that matters.) Hit the back button to return to the home screen. Observe that the GPS icon goes out, as expected. Disconnect external power.
My expectation is that battery usage will be normal. Instead, battery seems to drain pretty fast. Rebooting the phone returns battery usage to normal. This is bad enough that I am in the habit of rebooting my phone after a scan session if I don't expect to start another one in a few hours.

I also see higher battery use after any app that uses GPS. But, subjectively, this is much worse. I have not taken real data or ran adb.
