Option to modify long-pressed symbol pop-ups #154

I was using swiftkey keyboard before I became concerned about privacy. And I was using an xposed module [Exi for Swiftkey] which had options to add/delete characters in the pop ups. It had many other very useful features like move the cursor horizontally and vertically by swiping on space bar, copy paste undo controls, etc. But the one I mentioned above was very useful and I miss the most. For example I had added some custom greek symbols or characters and removed the letters I'll never use like these - æåä.

Can it be implemented somehow. Or Can I do achieve this with some modifications in the root file if I have root access? I'm basically being a choosing begger, I'm sorry about that.

I am in exactly the same situation and would very much like this feature to be added. With Swiftkey becoming garbage, Openboard is a good alternative with most of the features I want, but there are symbols that I use a lot and are hidden in alternative keyboards and so on.
