Hi! I know this project isn't particularly active, but in case that changes/there's a fork:
Letters like č ž and š are used in many slavic languages regularly - I think some of the keyboard layouts should be updated in accordance (willing to help) - in almost all said languages, x y and q aren't characters in the alphabet, and could easily be replaced in the layout.
Alternatively they could be moved to the start of the list of extra characters accessible upon long press, so as to be accessed via long pressing and letting go, rather than having to swipe off of the relatively uncommon symbols like # and * when long pressing on the letters s and z.
