1 Will be the same PSA, just for different dates 4 We will be able to find some FN speakers. I'll put the call out to CTFN/CAFN 6 Probably not use any music for the PSA., unless we can find some royalty free material. maybe some alert tones like a DING DING DING 7 Git probably smart enough to know, that Bill is already folowing this topic
There is some technical information contained in the NAAD Guide R7A and Common Look and Feel Guide 1.0 about the technical qualities for Emergency Messages carried. ie 5MB file size limit, how to create properly formatted tones, etc. When creating our PSA and sample emergency messages we should make these compliant.

Action: Bill\Rob - write scripts for all PSAs and revisions. Action: Bill - Gets script translated in to French. Action: Rob - Arranges for FN speaker at CTFN & CAFN. Gets script translated in to FN languages. Forwards Dieter FN speaker's contacts. Action: YG-EMO - reviews, suggests changes and approves PSA script and PSA recording. Action: Dieter - Manages task; Arranges for local volunteer voice talent (English & French); Contacts and arranges recording dates with FN speakers; Records approved scripts; Produces audio PSAs; Uploads audio files to xanadu media library; Assures production of PSAs are compliant with NAAD Guide R7A and Common Look and Feel Guide 1.0 .
Revised task time line for Audio PSA:
Present to October 10th, 2014 - Bill/Rob write script in English and French. Present to October 10th, 2014 - Rob finds FN speaker and translaters at CTFN & CAFN. Gets script translated in to FN language. Present to October 10th, 2014 - Dieter arranges for English and French speakers. When identified by Rob, Rob will forward FN speakers' contacts to Dieter. Dieter will arrange recording dates with FN individuals. October 10th, 2014 - Bill provide all scripts (four languages) to Rob for review. October 17th, 2014 - Rob submits scripts for review and approval to YG -EMO October 31st, 2014 - Rob submits all scripts approved by YG-EMO to Dieter and FN speakers. November 7th, 2014 - Start recording November 14th, 2014 - Dieter submits produced PSAs to Rob for approval or suggested changes. November 21st, 2014 - Rob submits draft PSAS to YG-EMO review and approval. November 28st, 2014 - Rob submits required changes or approval for audio PSAs to Dieter. November 30th, 2014 - Dieter implements requested changes and uploads all PSAs to OB on Xanadu.

Rob, could you please clarify: I am still confused about the difference between the PSA's and the actual Emergency Messages . My understanding is that the PSAs make people aware of the emergency service on our station. So basically we educate people to tun in to our station on a regular basis or to tune in to our station if an emergency announcement is expected. Why does the NAAD emergency message audio standards apply to our PSAs? I thought the actual emergency audio messages are automatically produced by Pelmorex and not produced by the local station.

Record various Audio PSA to involve and educate the audience about this Emergency Broadcasting Initiative, what the station’s role is and a call out for people to log test messages for clarity, comprehension, etc. @billpolonsky will be able to assist in the scripting
