USER STORY: As a lecturer, I want to plan the publication and de-publication of my lecture recordings

For didactical purposes, I want publication and de-publication of my lecture recordings to follow a defined temporal pattern ... so that students see them for a period of time I can define.

• The temporal pattern refers to the publication (video is visible for students) and depublication (video is not visible).
• It can be defined when scheduling a recording or at a later stage (Q: Does it have retrospective effect?)
• Recordings are scheduled like any other lecture recording (usually at the start of the semester) and
• each event shall be recorded, edited, and finalised (transcripts, metadata etc.) as per standard, with no (more) interaction to define publication/depublication.

The temporal pattern should allow

• de-/publication delayed to a date/time defined (applying to individual recordings or all recordings of lecture series) or
• de-/publication delayed by a period of time relative to the recording date/time of each video (applying to individual recordings or all recordings of lecture series)

Examples

• Publish this video on January 1st 8am
• Publish all of the recordings of my course three days after the actual lecture recording happened.
• Unpublish this video on December 31st, 11:59pm
• Unpublish all of the recordings of my course at the end of the semester.

Another use case for lecturers I've heard frequently is:

• Publish immediately after a recording and unpublish a week after (or right before the next recording)
  • this shall "prevent" binge watching at the end of the semester
  • it would also match the relative publish operation (e.g. three days after the recording) with a relative unpublish operation

When we think about automatic video deletion:

• I want to know when my video would basically be deleted.
• I would also like to exclude individual videos from the deletion rule with simple actions (e.g. checkbox) or extend the period by a predefined duration.
• It would also be nice to be informed by email before videos are deleted (e.g. 1 month before)

I think this is mandatory for the scenario described here, but also for the scenario in https://github.com/opencast/opencast/issues/5602. In the end (after the initial support for LCM has been implemented), user front ends like Tobira or the LMS should allow what @JasminNovotni also described:
