How to join the project

Hi,

I just found information about the project while reading documents from "Expert Meeting on WMO CDMS Strategy" and I'd like to know how can I join the project and contribute as a developer.

Hi Fabio - thank you for getting in touch, and yes, we'd be very happy to have you join us.

We're just getting started, the immediate areas that you could help with are: a) is it easy to understand what the project is doing, what stage we are currently at, how to get in touch, how to help?

• Do we need to update opencdms.org with more information?
• We have a prototype website in development. What information should it contain?

b) The initial development will start with the database API. The description is here. A new repository has been created, but we've not raised any issues or started discussion yet.

Thanks and sorry for the late reply!

Regarding the website I think it's very good. From my perspective I think the only information missing in the website and in the github project is the backlog of features (maybe I didn't find it) since this would be more important to end users (NMS) to understand the goal of the project.

So the idea for the database API is to create a layer that will allow compatibility with MCH and Climsoft, is that correct?
