is it possible to release an APK for fDroid or just make it available for each release?

Hi, not sure what changes we'd need to make to get the APK working on fdroid (is there an emulator?) but you can try the APK from https://github.com/openchargemap/ocm-app/releases/tag/v8.5.3

@webprofusion-chrisc They have some documentation on their website. See under "Submit Applications": https://f-droid.org/en/contribute/

Please use https://map.openchargemap.io in your system browser.

Really there is no technical benefit to using the installed app and so there's very little motivation (for me specifically) to do work to facilitate that. I've looked at the requirements previously and definitely wouldn't fork the app just for F-Droid (to remove Google Play references etc) as just keeping the Android and iOS versions up to date is already cumbersome (those versions are just redistributions of the above linked app and are always behind the web version).

Anyone wishing to make an alternative F-Droid specific app is absolutely welcome (or fork this one), as long as it doesn't use the project name in the published title to make it appear official - I would unfortunately expect that any fork of the app would become outdated as soon as the publisher lost interest in maintaining it (this is not exciting work) but happy to be proven wrong!
