In order to better evaluate the use of ISO 11179 concepts, a completely independent ISO 11179 UML Profile will be developed for validation purposes. The Profile will be an isomorphic representation of the UML-based models used to help specify ISO 11179. That model will be used to assist the documentation efforts for AML-UML, determine potential anomolies with respect to the structural alignment of AML-UML with 11179, along with assessment of limitations of AML-UML with respect to the concepts, properties, constraints defined in ISO 11179. If possible, AOM/ADL models will be transformed to AML-UML, assessed for viability of converting to an 11179 inspired RDF model, and tested for completeness/accuracy of defining relationship between domain and conceptual models.
