2 years ago - if we were to automate this, we could spend a chunk of time onboarding all our OCF-hosted collectives to Benevity (not just the ones who ask for it) and this could increase their fundraising opportunities. --we could have it be opt-in-
User story
OCF host admins need to automate crediting contributions through Benevity because the scale is getting unmanageable to do manually, so that Collectives can get their funds credits accurately and quickly.
We have processed $120k+ from Benevity and our users continue to tell us it's an important channel. This requires processing 50-100 transactions manually each month at the moment, and it continues to grow.
Best solution for this problem
Use the Benevity API to integrate Benevity donations in a fully automated way.
MVP
A script that can ingest the CSV export from Benevity (example) and automatically credit the funds on OC, as contributions from the Benevity profile to various OCF Collectives.
