Missing documentation on how to upgrade NOS #1038

I just found documentation on how to install a NOS, but nothing about how to upgrade one. For example, is it just treated as installing a new NOS, which needs to be provisioned afterward, or is there a way to update a NOS, and all custom configuration /etc and /root being still there.

That would be a NOS specific function, not something ONIE is involved with. For example, if SONiC is booted, you can use the sonic installer to upgrade SONiC and preserve your configuration.

Interesting. I’d have thought, something like this would also be standardized.
