i'm not sure whether this is a good idea,
but for graphs with >O(100) vertices, 2D plots are often minimally informative.
perhaps a kde2 would be moreso?
i guess i mean a heatmap,
although if we can easily rotate stuff,
perhaps something like a matlab meshgrid would be even more informative.
