Phone / Notification Ringtone Reset Problem #308

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Phone (Int/AT&T/etc.): AT&T
Radio:
CM Release (NO NIGHTLIES!): CM7 (Weekly build, 2011-12-10)
Hacks/Mods used: None
Kernel: 2.6.32.49-MB860-CM7-g4e59e0c

What is the expected behavior?
Notification and phone ringtone settings should remain configured once set.

What is the actual behavior?
Notification and phone ringtone settings wiped/reset on phone reboot

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open phone settings,
2. Set ringtones
3. reboot phone

Can you reproduce this problem after a complete wipe/factory reset? (do not
restore any apps or settings when testing)

Possible workarounds: Haven't found any yet, except possibly to not reboot the
phone

I think it may have something to do with where the ringtone files (.ogg) are
placed (sdcard, emmc, etc.). Still looking into it.

I fixed this by creating a new file in emmc called Media. Then in that folder I
made two new folders called Ringtones and Notifications. I then copied the .ogg
files I wanted and put them in respective folders. Now when I reboot they don't
change.
