finger print scanner will not let me get to my phone #331

pretty much i hit the button to open my phone and it goes to this fingerprint 
scanner and it says press finger to scan so i do but it says access denied

What is the expected behavior?

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Can you reproduce this problem after a complete wipe/factory reset? (do not
restore any apps or settings when testing)

So what's the bug? Access denied means exactly that, either you are not 
authorized to use the phone or you're swiping the wrong finger.
