Presto is very laggy #333

Phone (Int/AT&T/etc.):AT&T
Radio:N_01.77.37P
CM Release (NO NIGHTLIES!):CM7.2RC2
Hacks/Mods used:Stock
Kernel:Stock

What is the expected behavior? Presto allows for speed up and slow down of
podcast in podcast player (BeyondPod)

What is the actual behavior? Very laggy response of player screen in RC2. Press
pause and it takes 10-20 seconds to respond. Same for speed changes. 7.2 RC1
would hang Beyondpod and ask for a close or wait. When presto was uninstalled,
BeyondPod works normally (no speed control).

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install Beyondpod
2. Install presto
3. Download a podcast
4. Play a podcast at 1.5x speed
5. press pause.

Can you reproduce this problem after a complete wipe/factory reset? (do not
restore any apps or settings when testing) yes

Possible workarounds: 1) Run BP from the episode screen (play/pause only). 2)
Be very patient 3) Uninstall Presto.

Presto developer is aware of issue. Google search indicates issue may be
limited to CM7.x on Atrix only.

I have the same issue with presto in doggcatcher in CM7 nightlies and RC1&2. I
believe the issue is kernel related because everything works fine under faux
0.23 kernel (faux 0.24 experiences the same issue at current CM7 kernels)

My comment on 6/12 was a bit premature. Release code and subsequent 'nightlies'
have improved it somewhat, but it is not 'fixed'. The interface works ok. The
biggest issue is that it is very laggy when selecting pause or trying to select
a point in the podcast.
