Switch Lenses Cam Setting?

Hi @tdurand, was playing around with the current alpha ... nice!

But I noticed that currently it is not possible to switch to the wide angle lens of my android phone, which is not ideal e.g. it prevents ODC to detect things on the sidewalk if the phone is mounted on passenger seat (next to driver) as the normal/default lens is too tele. Hence currently we could only address usecases in a vehicle which "look" ahead or behind but not sideways.

Hum yes I need to see what is possible to do easily regarding camera control... good point ! also could use the front cam.. work in portrait etc etc..

I'm fixing the remaining bugs of the UI so we can play with everything ( counting, data export) , hope to have the next version later today 😉 in the official google play store as a beta.

Yay, looking forward too! Let me know once it is ready for a wider audience ... happy to spread the word. If might be also good to give a few things (think todos) to all the testers e.g. put the phone on steady position and count a few people etc.

yes main goals would be to:

• narrow the minimum device requirement necessary to run it so we restrict download on the play store to those requirement to avoid lots of bad reviews
• collect plenty of bugs
• collect plenty of feature request

I'll ping you tomorrow with the first beta and maybe we can have a quick chat tomorrow / wednesday depending on your avaibility to figure out the best way to share it with a wider audience.

I'm gonna setup some landing page also for the beta in order to have people registering...
