description of OpenDataCam ( 75 words max ) #16

As part of the challenge, we need to have a 75 words max description that will be on the mygalileosolution website... @b-g your help with this would be nice 😉 . need to submit by end of the week

They pre-wrote one:

OpenDataCam is an open source tool to automatically count moving objects. The AI-powered solution can process and detect objects in any live video feed. With the help of a user-friendly interface, it's possible to count objects at a certain location or visualize the trajectory on which an object moved through the frame.

But I think this can be improved.. as counting is just one of the many use case and to reflect the now multiplatform

My try at this:

OpenDataCam is an open source tool to quantify the world. It can detect, track and count objects on any video feed using AI. It is designed to be an accessible, affordable, and energy efficient solution running locally on smartphones, desktop, IoT devices without requiring your data to be send to external server.

It is used for diverse use cases from urban mobility, assets management to nature conservation.

What about this:

It is designed to be an accessible and affordable solution running locally on smartphones, desktop computers and IoT devices. The OpenDataCam project respects data privacy in a transparent way. No data is required to be send to the cloud. OpenDataCam was successfully used for a wide range of use-cases from urban mobility, assets management to nature conservation.

NIT pick maybe shorten "using machine learning and AI" into "using AI" as AI is the broader terms ( AI "contains" Machine learning "contains" Deep learning ) ..
